Please arrive with cap and gown at least 1 hour before the ceremony.
If your ceremony is at Redbird Arena, report to Horton Fieldhouse, located north of Redbird Arena. Enter from the south side facing the Turner Hall/Redbird Arena parking lot.
Please leave all personal belongings with family members or friends (including purses, umbrellas, coats, etc.). The university is not responsible for the safekeeping of these items.
Students must participate from the start to the end of the program. Students will not be allowed to leave once the ceremony has begun. Once the ceremony has ended, students must exit from the northeast ramp of Redbird Arena. Students are not permitted to return to the arena floor. Please make arrangements PRIOR to the event to meet with family and friends outside Redbird Arena.
Parking will be available at various lots. Please visit http://www.ilstu.edu/map/ for a parking map.
Each graduate will have his/her picture taken as they receive their diploma cover by Chappell Graduation Images. A color proof will then be e-mailed/mailed directly to your home address. There is no obligation or charge for shooting these pictures.
Graduates are advised that possession and consumption of alcohol at Commencement are strictly prohibited. Students may be asked to open their robes as they exit the lineup area for the processional. Any student failing to comply or found to be in possession of alcohol will not be allowed to participate.
